Abstract: Real-world performance of the ATSC DTV standard has been the subject of great interest and debate. In this paper, we report on a detailed study of reception at 34 sites in the Dallas-Ft. Worth region during September, 2000. We report on statistics such as field strength, service availability, sys-tem performance, building attenuation, site margin, and sensitivity to antenna placement. These test results are notable in that they are among the few that make use of a receiver with a second generation demodulator and transmitters operating at near their full power allocation.
